Fall In Love With Yourself
Happy November & happy Monday! Was anyone else as excited as us to gain an extra hour of sleep this weekend?! It was MUCH needed.
This week’s blog post is talking about self-care and learning to love the skin you’re in. With the holidays quickly approaching life can get crazy and it’s often hard to remember to stop, breathe, and take some time for ourselves during the holiday chaos. Self-care is important not only for the mind, body, & soul, but your skin.
We want to start the month of with a challenge. This month we are challenging you to not wear make-up at least ONE day a week. Could be a work day, weekend day, just ONE day. We often feel urged and pressured to throw on a full face of make-up, mascara, and even eyeliner before we hit the grocery store. We’re all guilty of this. Are you worried what someone else will think of you? Have you ever stopped to think: Who cares what other people think of you? We do it because we’re self-conscious about ourselves. Let’s be real. We constantly feel pressure in society to impress others when in reality the only person we should be impressing is OURSELVES.
When we are putting on a full face of make-up we are essentially supposed to be enhancing our natural features of our skin. For example, making your eye color pop more, making those cheek bone structures look fire when you put your highlight on. Imperfections are what make us perfect. Learn to love them.
We promise- you’ll start to notice a difference when you start to let your skin breathe. We’ve both stopped wearing full faces every single day of the week. We have seen such a difference in our skin and we’ve gotten so many compliments on how healthy our skin looks. The more you love your skin and show love for the bare naked face the more it will love you. It needs to breathe just like the mind, body, and soul.
Accept yourself. Love your skin. Beauty starts within.
We want to see your bare naked face photos on Instagram. Tag @gloonthegoct with #globarenaked and be entered to win a sample of one of our favorite face serums we talked about on the blog last week.
XO,
Glo
